Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SpeedPilot ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use SpeedPilot. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement. The App is designed for use by licensed drivers and is not intended to encourage illegal driving behavior.

3. Description of Service

SpeedPilot is a mobile application that tracks driving speed, routes, and acceleration data using your device's GPS. Features include trip history, real-time speed display, acceleration measurement, and a leaderboard. Some features require an active subscription.

4. Free vs. Premium Features

• Free: Basic trip tracking, limited trip history, leaderboard access
• Premium: Unlimited trip history, Drag Mode, detailed analytics, and additional features as added over time

5. Subscriptions and Payments

SpeedPilot offers the following subscription plans:

• Monthly: €4.99 per month
• 6-Month: €14.99 every 6 months

Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, except where required by applicable law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use SpeedPilot only in compliance with all applicable laws. In particular, you agree:

• Not to use the App while operating a vehicle in a way that endangers yourself or others
• Not to use the App to encourage or facilitate illegal speeding or street racing
• Not to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
• Not to use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent
• Not to create false accounts or manipulate leaderboard data

7. Safety Disclaimer

SpeedPilot is intended as an informational tool only. Speed data displayed in the App is based on GPS signals and may not be perfectly accurate. Always obey traffic laws and local speed limits. We expressly disclaim any responsibility for accidents, violations, or harm resulting from use of the App while driving.

8. GPS and Location Accuracy

The accuracy of speed and location data depends on GPS signal quality, device hardware, and environmental conditions. SpeedPilot does not guarantee the accuracy of any measurements and shall not be held liable for decisions made based on App data.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and trademarks associated with SpeedPilot are the property of Hannes Heißmeyer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time within the App settings.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hannes Heißmeyer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of SpeedPilot. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months prior to the claim.

12. Changes to these Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Continued use of SpeedPilot after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The place of jurisdiction, to the extent legally permissible, is Hannover, Germany.
